Lawirwodi Ladit Rwot David Onen Acana II led a team from Ker Kwaro Acholi for a cultural visit to Buruuli kingdom.
The Buruuli king His Royal Highness Isabuuruli Constantine Mwogezi Butamanya & The Prime Minister Kasirye Samuel welcomed The Delegation from Acholi. The two principals later held bilateral talks before leading the guests to a tour of the Buruuli palace under construction.
Buruuli Premier thanked the team from Ker Kwaro Acholi for the visit, and expressed great need for unity in diversity, doing trade between the two Cultural Institution, cultural tourism.
A memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ker Kwaro Acholi & Buruuli Kingdom to forster this cooperation.
During this visit, it was established that there are over 5000 Acholi people living in Buruuli land. The people came to work in the cotton ginnery established in Nakasongola in 1930 and settled there since. They informed Lawirwodi that they are living in Harmony & amicably without any discrimination.
The Acholi community were also invited by the Buruuli chiefdom to welcome Lawirwodi
Isabuuruli, gave Lawirwodi Rwot Onen David Achana II a Buruuli name "Anywaine" He(Isabuuruli) also promised to visit Ker Kwaro Acholi soon and promised to send to Acholiland some of his investor friends from the diaspora.
Rwot Onen David Acana II expressed his gratitude for welcoming The People of Acholi in Buruuli, & thanked Isabuuruli for taking good care of The Acholi living in Nakasongola.He further urged the Acholi people in Buruuli territory not to loose their cultural identity and promised to take more Acholi people to visit their relatives living in Buruuli land. Lawirwodi told Isabuuruli that a friend who doesn't visit you is not yours .
